Well, let me tell ya ’bout that football game last night, the one with them LSU fellas. Folks was all riled up ’bout it, ya know? Couldn’t hardly hear myself think with all the yellin’ and hollerin’ goin’ on.
So, who won? LSU won that there game. Yep, they sure did. Beat them Ole Miss boys, they did. It was a real nail-biter, though, let me tell ya. Back and forth, back and forth, like a couple of ol’ hens fightin’ over a corn cob.

- Game was close, real close.
- Folks was nervous, I tell ya.
- But them LSU boys, they pulled it off.
Now, I ain’t no fancy football expert or nothin’, but from what I saw, it was a tough game. Ole Miss, they came to play, they did. They was ahead for a good bit, and them LSU boys was playin’ catch-up. But them Tigers, they just kept on fightin’. Never gave up, not one bit.
Heard tell that it went into overtime. Can you believe that? Overtime! That means they was tied after all that runnin’ around and thumpin’ each other. Them boys must’ve been tired as all get out. But they kept on goin’. And that Nussmeier fella, he threw a pass to that Lacy boy, right there in the end zone. Touchdown! Game over. LSU wins.
Folks went wild, they did. Cheerin’ and clappin’ and huggin’ each other. It was somethin’ to see, I tell ya. I even saw ol’ Mr. Henderson jumpin’ up and down, and he ain’t moved that fast in twenty years! That LSU team, they got somethin’ special, they do. They got heart, they got grit, and they got that fella Nussmeier throwin’ the ball.
Now, I heard some folks sayin’ that Ole Miss hadn’t won in that there Tiger Stadium since way back in 2008. That’s a long time, even for an ol’ lady like me. They was hopin’ to break that streak, but them LSU boys, they wasn’t havin’ none of it. They protected their home turf, they did. Like a mama bear protectin’ her cubs.
And that number 7 jersey? Heard tell it’s a special thing, that number. Represents someone from Louisiana, someone who lifts up the team. Sounds like a good thing to me. Sounds like them LSU boys got the right idea about teamwork and stickin’ together.

So, yeah, LSU won the football game last night. Beat Ole Miss in a thriller. It was a game folks will be talkin’ about for a long time, I reckon. And them LSU Tigers, they proved they’re a team to be reckoned with. They’re tough, they’re talented, and they got that somethin’ special that it takes to win.
Now, I don’t know about all them rankings and such, but I do know this: a win’s a win. And that’s what them LSU boys got last night – a big ol’ win. And that’s somethin’ to be proud of, no matter how you slice it.
This here LSU football team, they been playin’ since 1893, long before I was even born. And they won a whole heap of games, over 800 of ‘em. That’s a lot of football, even for a team that’s been around as long as they have. Folks say they’re one of the best college teams ever, and after watchin’ that game last night, I ain’t gonna argue with ‘em.
Heard tell that the game was on somethin’ called ESPN, or some such thing. And on some kinda app, too. Folks got all sorts of ways to watch things these days, I tell ya. Back in my day, you just went to the game or listened on the radio. But I guess that’s progress for ya. Anyways, lots of folks saw that LSU victory, that’s for sure.
So that’s the story of the LSU football game last night, as best as I can tell it. They fought hard, they played tough, and they came out on top. And that’s all that matters in the end, ain’t it?

Oh, and one more thing. I heard that they’re gonna be playin’ Oklahoma sometime. Now, them Sooners, they’re supposed to be pretty good too. That’ll be another game worth watchin’, I reckon. But for now, let’s just enjoy this LSU win. They earned it, them boys did.
