Oh honey, you wanna know who won the NASCAR race yesterday at Charlotte? Well, let me tell ya, it was a real doozy!
That young fella, Kyle Larson, he sure did good. He won that race, the Bank of America Roval 400 they call it. Drove that Chevy like a bat outta hell, he did. Left them other fellas in the dust!

That Kyle Larson, He’s a Fast One
Yeah, Kyle Larson, that’s the one. He was driving that number 5 car, all shiny and new. He was out front for most of the race, 62 laps, I heard. That’s a whole heap of driving, you know. You gotta have a good car and a good driver to do that. He’s from that Hendrick Motorsports, whatever that means. Some fancy team, I reckon.
He beat that other fella, Christopher Bell, by a good bit, too. That Christopher Bell, he’s always up there near the front, but he just couldn’t catch Kyle yesterday. The news said it was 1.511 seconds. I don’t rightly know what that means, but it sounds like a lot in a race car!
Some Fellas Didn’t Make the Cut
Now, some of them other drivers, they didn’t have such a good day. They got kicked out of that playoff thing they got going on. Poor fellas. I heard these names on the TV.
- Ty Gibbs
- Martin Truex Jr.
- Brad Keselowski
- Harrison Burton
They all got eliminated. Sounds harsh, don’t it? One bad race and you’re out. They must be feeling mighty low. Hope they get another chance next year. It’s tough, I tell ya, racing is tough!
That Charlotte Track is a Tricky One
That race was at the Charlotte Motor Speedway, the ROVAL 400, you know. They say it’s a road course. Not like them oval tracks, this one’s got all sorts of twists and turns. Makes it harder on them drivers, I reckon. Gotta be real careful not to hit nothing. The walls are close, you know, not a lot of room for error. One little slip and bam, you’re in the wall.

It was the NASCAR Cup Series race, that’s what they call it. The big one. All them fancy cars and famous drivers. I don’t know much about it, but it sure is exciting to watch. Lots of noise and fast cars, what’s not to like?
Kyle Larson, He’s the Winner!
So yeah, that Kyle Larson, he’s the one who won. He drove real good, and he deserved it. He’s a good driver, that one. I’ll be watching for him next time, you betcha. You should too, he’s a good one to root for.
I don’t know all them fancy words they use, but I know a good race when I see one. And that was a good one. Lots of excitement and a good winner. Can’t ask for much more than that, can ya?
Hope he keeps on winning. Makes it more fun to watch. Maybe next time I can tell you more about them other drivers. There are some real characters out there. But for now, just remember Kyle Larson won the NASCAR race at Charlotte. He’s the man!
More About that Roval Race
I reckon that ROVAL thing means it’s kinda like a road and an oval mixed together. Sounds confusing, but I guess them drivers know what they’re doing. They go around and around, faster and faster. Makes my head spin just thinking about it.
They got all them pit stops, too. Where they change the tires and fill up the gas. Those pit crews, they work fast! Like a bunch of busy bees, they are. In and out, just like that. It’s all part of the race, I suppose.
Keep an Eye on that Number 5 Car
So, next time you watch a NASCAR race, keep an eye on that number 5 car. That’s Kyle Larson‘s car. He’s the one to watch. He’s going places, that one. I can feel it in my bones. He is sure to win more races, you just wait and see.
Well, that’s all I got for ya today. Hope you learned something about that NASCAR race at Charlotte. It was a good one, that’s for sure. I think Kyle Larson will be winning lots of trophies. Maybe he can buy his mama a new house or something, being that famous and all.
