Okay, so I recently signed up for this A&M football camp, and let me tell you, it was an experience. I’ve always been a huge football fan, and the chance to train at a place like this? I couldn’t pass it up.
First off, I did some digging to see what my options were. There are a bunch of football camps out there, but the A&M one stood out. I mean, it’s got that big name, you know? Plus, they had programs for both high schoolers and younger kids, which is pretty cool. Anyway, I signed up online – pretty easy process, nothing too complicated.

When I got there, the first thing that hit me was the scale of it all. The facilities were top-notch, fields were all over the place. They had us split into groups based on age and skill level, which made sense. I ended up with a bunch of guys who were about as good as me, so we had some decent competition going.
The coaches were intense, but in a good way. They were mostly on the younger side, college guys and a few older guys. We did a ton of drills, working on everything from basic stuff like throwing and catching to more advanced plays. We also spent some time in the gym, focusing on strength and conditioning. That part was brutal, but I definitely felt myself getting stronger by the end of it.
- One of the highlights was the chance to get some personalized instruction. The coaches would watch you during the drills and give you specific pointers on how to improve. It was super helpful to have that kind of one-on-one attention. I never realized how bad my footwork was until one of the coaches pointed it out.
- The days were long, we were out there from early morning until late in the evening, but it didn’t even feel that tiring because we were so focused. We had breaks, of course, and they made sure we were staying hydrated and fueled up.
- Overall, the camp was a great way to sharpen my skills and get a taste of what it’s like to train at a high level. Plus, I met some cool people and made some new friends.
I’d definitely recommend this camp to anyone who’s serious about football. It’s not just about the physical stuff, either. You learn a lot about discipline, teamwork, and pushing yourself beyond your limits. I walked away from that camp feeling like a better player and, honestly, a better person. It’s tough, but it’s worth it. If you put in the work, you’ll see the results. And who knows, maybe I’ll see some of you guys out there next year!
