Alright, so you wanna watch them KU football fellas, huh? It ain’t that hard, even for an old gal like me. Let me tell ya how.
First off, ya gotta know when the game is. Can’t go watchin’ if ya don’t know the time, right? Check the schedule, they post it all over the place nowadays. On the internet, on the TV, maybe even in the newspaper if you still get one of those.

Now, where to watch it? That’s the big question. Lots of ways, depends on what ya got.
- If you got that cable TV, well, that’s easy. Look for the channel that’s showin’ the game. They always say it, somethin’ like “Fox” or “ESPN.” Just gotta flip through them channels ‘til ya find it.
-
If you ain’t got cable, don’t you worry none. There’s still ways. My grandkids, they always talkin’ about these “streamin’” things. Sounds fancy, but it just means watchin’ on the internet.
They say you can watch on somethin’ called “YouTube TV.” Lots of channels, they say. Or “Fubo TV,” that’s another one. And “DirecTV” too. Sounds like a lot of choices to me. You probably gotta pay for them, though. Nothin’s free these days, ya know?
-
And then there’s that “ESPN app” thingy. My grandson showed me on his phone once. All kinds of games on there, they say. Sometimes they even show the KU games on them local channels, like “Midco Sports” or that “Cox Cable” or “Spectrum Sports.” Gotta check your local listings for that.
This past season, them Jayhawks played on Fox a bunch. That game against Colorado, that was on Fox. Them announcers, Jason Benetti, Brock Huard, and Allison Williams, they were callin’ the game. Sounded like nice folks. My grandson said they know a lot about football, more than me, that’s for sure.

Heard tell the coach, that Lance Leipold fella, he’s doin’ a good job. Been coachin’ for a while now. Them Jayhawks, they been playin’ football since way back in 1890. That’s a long time, even for me! They play at that David Booth Kansas Memorial Stadium, if you wanna go see ’em in person. But it’s probably easier just to watch on TV, less walkin’ involved.
So, there ya have it. That’s how you watch the KU football game. Check the time, find the channel, or use that streamin’ stuff if ya have to. It ain’t rocket science, even if them young folks try to make it sound complicated.
Now, go on and enjoy the game. And yell loud for them Jayhawks! Even if they don’t win, it’s always fun to watch. Just don’t get too riled up, it’s just a game after all. And remember to have some snacks, can’t watch football without snacks, right? Maybe some chips and dip, or some of them little sausages. Now you’re talkin’!
And if you get confused, just ask one of them young folks. They know all about this tech stuff. They might even show you how to record the game, so you can watch it later. But that’s a whole ‘nother story for another day.
Alright, I’m done talkin’ now. Go watch that football game! And have a good time, ya hear?
