Well, bless your heart, you wanna know how to watch that UW football game today, huh? It ain’t rocket science, but I reckon I can help ya out. These young folks and their fancy gadgets, sometimes it’s just too much! But this UW football, that’s somethin’ else. You gotta see it.
First thing you gotta know is, where’s that game gonna be? Now, I heard some folks talkin’ ’bout this here “Alaska Airlines Field at Husky Stadium.” Sounds mighty fancy, don’t it? They say it is for the homecoming game. November 2nd, against some team called USC. 12:30, that’s what I heard.

Now, if you ain’t gonna be there in person, which, let’s be honest, who wants to deal with all them crowds, you gotta find it on that TV box. That’s how you can watch Washington Huskies football. These days, they got a million different ways to watch these games. Too many, if you ask me. Back in my day, we just had the one channel, and we were grateful for it!
- The Tee Vee
Now, for the regular games, you gotta find the right channel. This is where it gets tricky. They got all these different channels now. You need this “FOX” channel. And that ain’t all. They got somethin’ called “streaming.” I think you need somethin’ called “Fubo” for that. That’s what that young fella said, anyway. He also said something about “play-by-play” and “analyst”. I don’t know what those are, but I guess they are important.
This whole UW football game today business, it’s a whole production, ain’t it? They even got a special game against some team, the “Nittany Lions” playin’ the “Huskies.” I heard they got some good players, this “Tyler Warren” and “Denzel Boston.” Sounds like a movie, don’t it? That game is on somethin’ called “Peacock.” Like the bird. Go figure.
- That YouTube contraption
Then there’s this YouTube thing. My grandson, bless his heart, he tried to show me. Said it’s the best way to see all them UW football games. He said something about an ESPN something or other. “Combo” he called it. And you can get the most coverage. Whatever that means. Sounds like a blanket to me. But that’s another way to watch it, if you can figure it out. Lots of folks say it is the best thing now. I guess they know what they are talking about.
- The cheapest way
Now, if you’re like me, you don’t wanna spend a fortune just to watch a game. That’s just silly. There’s somethin’ called “Sling TV,” the basic package. That’s supposed to be the cheapest way to see it. But my grandson said you might only get a few games. Better than nothing I suppose. You can also try somethin’ called an “antenna”. Like the old days! But again, you might not get all the Washington Huskies football games. So many options!

Honestly, it’s all a bit much for me. But I do love watchin’ that UW football. It’s excitin’. And those boys, they sure can run! It is really somethin’ to watch.
So there you have it. A few ways to watch that game. Hope you can figure it out. It ain’t as easy as it used to be, that’s for sure. But if you’re determined, you’ll find a way. Just remember, there is this homecoming game on November 2nd, at 12:30. And you can watch it on TV, or that YouTube thing, or with that Sling thing. Or an antenna. Good luck!
Just remember these names too: FOX, Fubo, Peacock, YouTube, ESPN, Sling TV. I don’t know what they all mean, but they seem important if you wanna watch UW football game today. And don’t forget about the “Nittany Lions” and the “Huskies”, and those Tyler and Denzel fellas. Lordy, it’s a lot to remember! But you got it. You can watch your game.
