Man, the whole deal with WWE and Hulu has been a wild ride. I’ve been following it closely because, you know, I’m a huge wrestling fan. So, here’s the lowdown from my perspective.
I started noticing things were up when I went to catch up on SmackDown a while back. Usually, it’s right there on Hulu the day after it airs, but boom, gone. This was around the end of September, and let me tell you, I was confused.

- First sign of trouble: SmackDown disappeared from Hulu.
- Checked online forums, and everyone was as lost as I was.
So I dug a bit deeper. Found out that the deal between WWE and Hulu was ending. Basically, their rights to stream SmackDown expired, and it wasn’t renewed. That’s why I couldn’t find it anymore. Kind of a bummer, right?
Then came the news about Raw. Now, Raw’s been on Hulu for a while, and it’s staying there till the end of this year. But after that? It’s moving. Yeah, I was following the whole thing closely. I even found some info on the Wrestling Observer Radio – they’re usually pretty spot on with this stuff.
- Raw is safe on Hulu until the end of 2024.
- Heard about the change on Wrestling Observer Radio.
Here’s the kicker: Starting January 2025, Raw is moving to Netflix. Not just Raw, but a whole bunch of WWE content. It’s a big move, a new deal they’ve got. I was a bit shocked, to be honest. I mean, Netflix for wrestling? It’s different, but okay.
I went through all the official announcements and stuff. They’re saying Netflix will be the new home for WWE in the US, Canada, UK, Latin America, and more places will be added later. Sounds huge, doesn’t it?
- Read the official WWE announcements.
- Netflix is getting WWE Raw and other content in multiple countries.
My Take on It All
Honestly, it’s a bit of a mixed bag for me. On one hand, it’s annoying to have to switch platforms. I was used to Hulu. But on the other hand, Netflix is massive, and this could mean more exposure for WWE, which is cool. I guess I’ll have to wait and see how it plays out.

So, that’s my experience with this whole WWE and streaming services saga. It’s been a bit of a rollercoaster, but hey, that’s the world of entertainment for you. Always changing!
