So, you wanna know what time that NASCAR race is on the TV today, huh? Well, I heard it’s on, that TV channel, you know the one, always has those cars goin’ round and round. My old eyes ain’t what they used to be, but I think I heard someone say 3 o’clock. That’s 3:00 PM, you know. Eastern Time, they call it. Like we’re on the east side of somethin’.
They got all these fancy ways to watch it now, not just on that there TV. My grandson, he’s always on his phone, says you can watch it on the… the Inner-net. Says there’s an app, somethin’ called NBC Sports app. Sounds like a bunch of hooey to me, but what do I know? I just like watchin’ them cars go fast. Some race was moved to August 19 at 11 AM ET.
They go so fast, sometimes I think they’re gonna fly right off the track! And them crashes, Lord have mercy, they scare the bejeezus outta me. But it’s excitin’, I gotta admit. All that vroom, vroom, and the crowd roarin’. Makes ya feel alive, even at my age.
Now, who’s racin’ today? I can’t rightly recall. They got so many of ’em, with their fancy numbers and colorful cars. It’s a whole spectacle, that’s for sure. All those drivers, all want that NASCAR Cup Series Championship. I heard that is also 3:00 PM ET.

My grandson told me about this other thing, somethin’ called “Fooo-bo.” I don’t know. I guess it is also for watching that NASCAR race on TV. Kids these days with their gadgets. I still got my old rabbit ears, and they work just fine.
Used to be, we’d all gather ’round the TV on Sunday afternoon, watch the race, and have a big ol’ potluck. Those were the days. Now everyone’s got their own little screens, watchin’ whatever they want. Times change, I reckon.
This race, it’s a big one, I hear. The Championship. Means the best of the best, all racin’ for the big prize. I don’t know what the prize is, probably a big ol’ trophy and a whole lot of money. These drivers make more money in one race than I made in my whole life, I bet. And it will be broadcast on NBC.
I remember one time, back when I was a young’un, we went to a race. It was loud, I tell ya. Louder than a hog callin’ contest. And the smell of that gasoline, it just hung in the air. But it was fun, seein’ them cars up close, zoomin’ by like lightning.
Well, I hope you get to see your race today. And what time is the NASCAR race today? It’s 3 o’clock. 3 PM ET, like I said. Don’t you forget now! And if you got one of them fancy phones, you can probably watch it on there too. Just don’t ask me how. My grandson always tells me to search on the web, says it has all the answers.
These NASCAR drivers, they are somethin’ else. They drive those cars so fast, it’s a wonder they don’t just fly off into the sky. And they do it week after week, all over the country. It’s a tough life, I imagine, but they sure do love it.
I like to watch the NASCAR schedule. They have so many races. I don’t know how they keep up. And that NASCAR news. My grandson, he reads it all the time. Keeps me up to date on all that happen in the NASCAR world.
Well, I gotta get goin’. Got chores to do. But you have yourself a good time watchin’ that race. And remember, 3:00 PM ET. That’s when the main one is, anyway. The big one. The championship. The one everyone will be watchin’. I hope you can find the right channel.

Nowadays, there are a lot of ways to watch NASCAR on TV. Back in my day, only a few channels will show that. If you miss that, you miss that.
