Okay, so I wanted to watch NASCAR the other day. I’ve got a Roku TV, so I figured it should be easy enough, right? Well, it kinda was, but it took a little bit of figuring out.
First, I tried to find a dedicated NASCAR channel on my Roku. I searched through the channel store, but nothing official popped up. Hmm, a little bit strange. But I was determined, so I kept digging.

I then grabbed my phone and googled “can you watch nascar on roku”. Some articles popped up and I started reading. It seems like there’s no single, dedicated NASCAR channel, but there were a few workarounds.
- One way was to use my existing cable subscription. If you have cable that includes FOX Sports or NBC Sports, you can probably use those channels’ apps on Roku to watch the races. I don’t have cable, so that was a no-go for me.
- Another option was some app called “NASCAR Mobile”. Apparently, it has news, schedules, and even some live stuff like in-car cameras. It sounded interesting, but it also mentioned something about a subscription for full access.
Since I’m not one to pay for things I can get for free, I kept exploring. I found out that the NASCAR website itself sometimes streams races live. So I fired up the web browser on my computer, headed to their site, and… boom! There it was, a live stream of the race.
My Solution
So, here’s what I ended up doing: I just used my computer to watch the race on the NASCAR website, and then I mirrored my computer screen to my Roku TV. It wasn’t the most elegant solution, but it worked! I got to watch the race for free, and that’s all that really matters, right?
I also stumbled upon some other websites, like Fox Sports and WatchESPN, that supposedly stream the races live too. I didn’t try them this time, but they might be worth checking out in the future. So yeah, that’s my story of how I figured out how to watch NASCAR on my Roku. It wasn’t super straightforward, but with a little bit of effort, I made it happen.
