Okay, so, let’s talk about NBA YoungBoy and whether or not he’s a Muslim. This whole thing started when I was chilling, scrolling through my YouTube feed, and I saw a video about YoungBoy. I was like, “What’s up with this dude now?” I’ve been following his music for a while, so I’m always interested in what he’s doing.
I started digging into it, just googling stuff, reading articles, and watching some videos. It was kind of a mess, you know? A bunch of different stories and rumors. Some folks were saying he’s totally Muslim now, while others were like, “Nah, he’s not, he’s into some other stuff.” It got me all confused, so I figured I’d do a little more digging and see what I could find out.

Research, research, research
First thing I did was check out some interviews he’s done recently. I found this one with Billboard where he was talking about being on house arrest in Utah. Apparently, he met some folks from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He said at first he was not sure, but then he let them in. It sounded like he was exploring it, but not like he was fully committed, you know?
Then, I went down the rabbit hole of fan forums and social media comments. Man, it was wild. People were quoting his lyrics, saying stuff like, “He said this line, so he must be Muslim,” or “He said that, so he’s definitely not.” And then there were others talking about him wearing a cross or having a Bible verse on his tattoo. It was all over the place.
I even found some articles about his kids. Did you know his oldest son, Kayden, was born when YoungBoy was just 16? That’s crazy young! Anyway, it mentioned he was born in Louisiana, but it didn’t say anything about religion.
Clearing up some confusion
Here’s where it got even more interesting. I came across some unreleased songs and lyrics. In one, he apparently says something like, “Boy, you dumb if you think I’m a Muslim.” But then, in other places, he’s using the word “Allah.” So, what’s the deal? Is he in or out? It seemed like he might have converted to Islam at some point but then maybe went back to Christianity. It’s hard to tell for sure.
Some fans were saying he just uses “Allah” sometimes but is not a Muslim. Then I saw people talking about him wearing a Jesus piece and having Bible references in his songs. It’s like he’s got a foot in both worlds or something.

My take on it all
After all this digging, I’m still not 100% sure what NBA YoungBoy’s religious beliefs are. It seems like he’s on a spiritual journey, exploring different things, and maybe not fully settling on one specific faith. He’s got influences from Christianity, maybe some from Islam, and possibly even this Mormon thing. He did say it might affect his music, he said in an interview, “What if they don’t like me now? I’m not changing. I will not be provoked.”
It is interesting, and I respect that. He’s not afraid to be open about his search for meaning, even if it’s confusing to some people. At the end of the day, it’s his personal journey, and it’s up to him to decide what he believes. Maybe he’ll come out and clarify everything one day, or maybe he’ll just keep us guessing. Either way, I’m here for the music, and I’m curious to see where his path takes him.
So, yeah, that’s my little adventure into the world of NBA YoungBoy’s religious beliefs. It was a wild ride, but I enjoyed trying to figure it all out. What do you guys think? Let me know in the comments!
