Well, I’ll tell ya, rentin’ one of them fancy NBA basketball courts ain’t somethin’ I’ve ever done, but I heard folks talkin’ about it. See, them courts, they ain’t just any ol’ courts, they’re the real deal, where them tall fellas run around and toss that ball.
Now, from what I gather, these courts are bigger than the ones the kids play on down at the school. Someone told me they’re a whole 94 feet long and 50 feet wide. That’s a lot of space, I tell ya! Even bigger than my old garden patch, and that was somethin’ else. And the gals, they play on the same size court, mostly, ‘cept for that fancy line they shoot from, it’s a bit closer in.

- The fellas’ line is way out there, but them gals, they get a little closer. Don’t make much sense to me, but that’s how they do it.
- And then there’s them other courts, the ones they use overseas, I hear they’re a bit smaller. Not by much, but enough to notice, I reckon.
Now, if you’re thinkin’ about rentin’ one of these NBA courts, it ain’t gonna be cheap. Heck, nothin’ fancy ever is. The price, well, that depends on a whole bunch of things. Where the court is, who owns it, and how long you want it for. It’s like rentin’ a room, the longer you stay, the more it costs.
I heard tell you can rent ’em for all sorts of things, not just basketball games. Concerts, even! Imagine that, music blarin’ where them fellas usually dribble. Or maybe you wanna have a big ol’ sports event, somethin’ different. They rent ’em out for that too, I guess.
But where do you even find one of these courts to rent? Well, I reckon you gotta start lookin’ around. Community centers, maybe, or schools and colleges. Them places got courts, sometimes big ones. Might not be an actual NBA court, mind you, but it could still be a good place to play.
And if you really, truly want an NBA court, you gotta go talk to the folks who own ’em. The teams themselves, or maybe the people who run the arenas. They’re the ones who can tell you how much it’ll cost and when you can use it. It ain’t somethin’ you can just walk in and do, you gotta plan it out.
I heard somebody sayin’ the price is different for every place, you know? Like rentin’ a house. A big fancy one costs more than a little ol’ shack. And it matters if you just want it for a few hours, or maybe a whole day or even longer. The longer you want it, the more they’re gonna charge you, that’s just common sense.
So, if you’ve got a hankerin’ to rent an NBA court, you best start doin’ your homework. Figure out what you need it for, how long you need it for, and how much you’re willin’ to spend. It ain’t gonna be cheap, but if you really want it, you can probably find a way. Just remember to bring your checkbook, and maybe a good pair of shoes for all that runnin’.
And another thing, these courts ain’t just empty spaces. They got all them lines and hoops and stuff. You know, the baskets where they throw the ball, and them fancy lines they shoot from. The three-point line they call it. And that little line where they stand when they get a foul. It’s all there, ready to go.
But don’t go thinkin’ you can just waltz in and start playin’ like them pros. You need to know the rules and have the right equipment. And maybe some practice, too. Them fellas make it look easy, but it ain’t. Trust me on that.
Anyway, that’s about all I know about rentin’ NBA courts. It’s a fancy thing, for sure, and it’ll cost ya a pretty penny. But if you got the money and the need, I reckon it could be a whole lot of fun.
