Okay, so I was looking to watch some football, specifically the NFL RedZone, and I wasn’t sure if DIRECTV had it. I’m a big football fan, but I don’t always have the time to watch every single game, you know? That’s why RedZone is great – it shows all the exciting plays from around the league.
First, I checked out DIRECTV’s website to see what they offered. Turns out, they have this thing called the DIRECTV Sports Pack. It’s an add-on, meaning you have to pay extra for it on top of your regular DIRECTV package. But, it seemed like the way to get RedZone. The price was listed as being under 15 bucks a month. That doesn’t seem too bad, especially since they throw in a bunch of other sports channels, 21 channels in total. I did a quick count of the channels included, and there were some good ones there for sure.

- First, I had to make sure I had a DIRECTV subscription. I was already a customer, so I was good to go. It did say new customers can get it free for the first three months, so that is a pretty good deal.
- Then, I logged into my account on their website. I navigated through the menus – it wasn’t too hard to find, to be honest.
- There it was: the DIRECTV Sports Pack. I added it to my plan, which was pretty straightforward.
- Once that was done, it said I should have access to RedZone right away.
I double-checked that the DIRECTV Sports Pack was listed in my package, and I saw that they have it listed as being available on three types of DIRECTV services. It seemed like it did not matter if I had DIRECTV over the internet, satellite, or something called DIRECTV Stream. It was available on all three. They did mention that it wasn’t available on something, but it wasn’t the option I use anyway, so it wasn’t a big deal.
Turned on the TV
I went to the channel guide, found the NFL RedZone channel, and there it was! It was pretty easy to get it set up. Now I can watch all the touchdowns and big plays without having to flip through all the games. I’m pretty happy I added it.
Oh, I also found out that DIRECTV had another channel called “Red Zone Channel” that used to be part of their NFL Sunday Ticket package. It sounds pretty similar to NFL RedZone, but it’s not the same thing. Just wanted to point that out in case anyone else was looking into it.
So yeah, DIRECTV does offer NFL RedZone through their Sports Pack. It is not a bad deal if you’re a football fan like me. Adding it was simple enough. I’m all set for the next game day! Hopefully, my team doesn’t disappoint me.
