First off, I hit up the internet, like we all do. Started with the basics, just Googling “Max Verstappen” and seeing what popped up. Read through a bunch of articles, some saying he’s the next big thing, others saying he’s just a really good driver. That was just the tip of the iceberg.
- Checked out his stats, you know, wins, podiums, all that jazz. The guy’s record is pretty insane, especially considering how young he is.
- Watched a ton of his races, both old and new. It’s one thing to read about it, but seeing him in action is something else. The way he overtakes, his control of the car, it’s wild.
- Dived into some forums and discussions online. Wanted to see what the real fans were saying, not just the journalists. There’s a lot of love for him, but also some criticism, which is fair.
Then, I compared him to other big names in F1, like Hamilton, Schumacher, and the rest. It’s tough, because they all raced in different eras, with different cars and rules. But still, you can see how Max stacks up against them in terms of talent and achievements.
My Thoughts
Honestly, after all this, I’m still not 100% sure if he’s THE best. It’s so subjective, right? But what I can say is, the dude is definitely up there.
