Now let me tell ya, there’s this young fella named Christian Alshon, and I reckon he’s one of the best tennis players to come out of Boca Raton, Florida. He’s got them tennis skills that’ll make yer head spin, I swear. From a young age, he was always a strong boy, training hard over at the Magallan Tennis Academy. You know, back when he was just a kid, he already had a pile of USTA national junior titles to his name. Six of ‘em, to be exact! That’s right, six!
He started out playing the singles matches, and boy, did he make a name for himself. If you’ve ever seen him on the court, you’ll know right away—he’s one of them rare talents that don’t come around often. In the 2021-22 season, he had a singles record of 22-3, and I’m here to tell ya, that’s a mighty fine record. And don’t even get me started on his doubles. His doubles record was 21-9, and he played most of his time in the No. 1 and No. 2 singles spots, as well as No. 1 doubles. That’s a lot of court time, but he handled it like a champ.

Now, let me tell ya a little more about where he went to school—he played for the University of Chicago’s men’s tennis team. They was real proud of him. He even helped ‘em make history! You know, he wasn’t just a player—he was a leader. He went 18-0 in singles that season, and they made him a part of that NCAA championship team. That’s right, he helped bring home a Division III NCAA championship. A big ol’ deal, if you ask me!
Christian didn’t just stop at college tennis either. Nah, he kept on movin’ up. He made it to the big leagues, and by that I mean, he got recognized as an ITA All-American, both in singles and doubles. That’s one of them fancy awards you get when you’re really good, and let me tell you, Christian was definitely really good. He didn’t just make it to the NCAA tournament—he qualified in both singles and doubles. That’s somethin’ most folks only dream about!
His Recruiting Journey and Pickleball Switch
So, how did a fella like him get so good? Well, for starters, Christian was a five-star Blue Chip recruit. That’s the best of the best, you know? He didn’t get that title by sittin’ around—he worked hard. He trained at that fancy academy in Boca Raton, where he was pushed to the limit every day. You can bet he wasn’t takin’ no easy road to success.
But it ain’t all about tennis for Christian. In fact, in June 2021, just after he won that big ol’ NCAA title, he tried his hand at somethin’ new—pickleball. Yep, that’s right. He took up pickleball just two weeks after the tennis season ended. And guess what? His tennis background made him a natural at it. He had that same drive and determination in pickleball as he did in tennis, and sure enough, he’s been a real success. It just goes to show you, when you’ve got the skill, you can take it to any sport!

Now, I reckon the future’s mighty bright for Christian. He’s already done so much in his young life, and he’s not even done yet. He’s only just gettin’ started, folks. With his talent and determination, there’s no tellin’ how far he’ll go. Whether it’s on the tennis court or in pickleball, Christian Alshon is gonna be one of them names you remember for a long time.
