Well now, I reckon I gotta tell y’all ’bout somethin’ that happened not too long ago. You might’ve heard of it or seen it on the news. It’s all about this man, Anthony Ferguson, and the trouble that happened on May 24th, down in Baltimore. I ain’t one for all them fancy words or big details, but I’ll do my best to tell ya what I know.
So, Anthony Ferguson, he was 39 years old when this all went down. From what I gather, he didn’t make it out alive after the incident. A real sad thing, but I guess that’s how things go sometimes. The police officers that were involved, well, they had to deal with a whole mess. The reports say one of them got hurt, but nothing too serious. Just some minor injuries, thank goodness. But the man, Ferguson, didn’t make it. I reckon that’s the worst part of it all.
The whole thing happened right there in South Baltimore. Now, I don’t know too much about Baltimore, but I’ve heard it’s a rough place, especially if you ain’t careful. Now, the officers involved, they’ve been around the block a time or two. There’s Sergeant Timothy Copeland, he’s been with the force for 18 years, so I reckon he knows a thing or two ‘bout what to do in a sticky situation. Then there’s Detective Nicholas Wellems, been doin’ this job for 10 years, and Officer Brandall Mable, he’s got 6 years under his belt. They’ve been through plenty of tough situations, but this one? Well, this one was somethin’ else.
It’s a real shame, all of it. A life lost, officers injured, and folks in the neighborhood probably scared for their safety. Ain’t no good can come from such a mess. But like I said, I’m just tellin’ ya what I heard, what’s been reported. Ain’t no easy answers to a thing like this, but maybe we can learn somethin’ from it.
