Well, I tell you what, this here NBA League Pass thing, it’s got all them basketball games, right? But folks keep askin’, can ya record ’em? Like, put ’em on your own thingamajig to watch later?
So, can ya, or can’t ya? That’s the big question, ain’t it?

Now, from what I hear, this here League Pass, it lets you watch the games live, or whenever you want, on demand they call it. That’s mighty convenient, I reckon. You can watch it on your phone, your computer, or even that fancy TV box thingy, whatever they call it, YouTube somethin’ or other.
- They say you can watch it on three different things at once! Imagine that, three games at the same time! Who needs that many, I tell ya. One’s enough to make my head spin.
- And they got all sorts of ways to watch, home team, away team, even a little bitty screen for your phone, they say. Land sakes, what will they think of next?
But recordin’, that’s where it gets tricky, like tryin’ to catch a greased pig at the county fair. Some folks say they try to record it on their phones or computers, and all they get is a black screen. Just the sound, no picture! Like listenin’ to the game on the radio, but payin’ extra for it. That ain’t right, I tell ya.
Now, they say on this YouTube thingy, you can set it to record like you do with them regular shows. Fifteen minutes before the game starts, it pops up, and you can tell it to record. That sounds easy enough, even for an old gal like me. But I ain’t tried it myself, mind you.
And here’s another thing, they got these “edited versions” of the games. That means they take out all them commercials, so you can watch the whole game straight through. No more listenin’ to that fella yellin’ about cars or insurance, praise the Lord! You can find them replays in somethin’ they call the “Game Details” section. Sounds fancy, don’t it?
If you’re one of them “premium” subscribers, whatever that means, sounds expensive, you can even download the whole game to watch later, even if you ain’t got no internet. That’s handy if you’re goin’ out to the back forty and don’t wanna miss the game. But you gotta do it on your phone or that iPad thingy, not on your big TV, I reckon.

Seems like they make it complicated on purpose, just to confuse folks. Why can’t they just let you record it plain and simple, like in the old days with them VCRs? You put in a tape, pressed record, and that was that. Now you gotta jump through hoops and download this and that. It’s enough to make your head spin.
So, can you record games on NBA League Pass? Well, it seems like the answer is… maybe. Depends on what you’re usin’ and how fancy you wanna get. If you just wanna watch the games whenever you want, they got you covered. But if you wanna save ‘em forever, you might have to get a little sneaky, or pay extra for that “premium” stuff. Either way, it ain’t as easy as pie, that’s for sure.
One more thing, if you just wanna watch a single game, not the whole shebang, they say you can buy it on their phone app. Just find the game you want and pay for it. Simple as that, I guess. But I ain’t tried it, so don’t take my word for it.
Anyways, that’s the long and short of it. Hope it helps you figure out this here League Pass thing. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I gotta go watch my stories. They got a new one on tonight, about a fella who inherits a ranch… but that’s a story for another time.
