Alright, listen up, y’all. Gonna tell ya how to make that big fella, Zion Williamson, in that there NBA 2K23 game. My grandkids, they always playin’ this thing, and I watched ‘em enough to figure some stuff out. Don’t you go thinkin’ this is gonna be some fancy-pants talk, though. I’m just gonna tell it to ya straight, like it is.
First thing’s first, you gotta get yourself into that game, right? Grab that controller thingy, and I hear you gotta press that “start” button. Yeah, that one that looks like a little sideways window. Then, you gotta find somethin’ called “My Career.” Sounds important, so that’s probably it. My grandkids always yellin’ about their “career” in this game.

Now, once you’re in that “My Career” thing, you gotta go snoopin’ around for somethin’ else. They call it a “Career Tracker,” I think. Sounds like they keepin’ tabs on ya, huh? Well, press that “A” button, the green one, I think. My eyes ain’t what they used to be, ya know. And then, they say you gotta press somethin’ called “RB” just once. Don’t go pressin’ it too many times, or you’ll mess somethin’ up, I betcha.
Now, here’s where it gets tricky, or so my grandkids say. Some of you might not see a message pop up. Don’t go freakin’ out if you don’t. I reckon it means you gotta play a bit more, or somethin’. These games, they always makin’ you jump through hoops, don’t they? Just keep playin’ and check back later, I guess. Ain’t nothin’ in life comes easy, that’s for sure.
Anyways, if you *do* see a message, well, then you’re in luck. It’s gonna ask you about what kinda player you wanna make. That’s where you get to make your own Zion, see? Now, I ain’t no expert on this stuff, but I hear tell you gotta make him strong and fast. That boy’s a powerhouse, like a bull in a china shop, but quicker than greased lightnin’. So, you gotta focus on them muscles and speed when you’re makin’ him.
They got all these numbers and things, you know, like “attributes” they call ‘em. You gotta pump up them dunkin’ numbers, for sure. Zion, he likes to slam that ball home, rattle the whole darn rim. And make sure he’s good at jumpin’ and runnin’ too. He ain’t no slowpoke, that fella. And strong, gotta make him strong, so he can push them other fellas around. They say somethin’ ‘bout “finishing” too. I guess that means makin’ the ball go in the hoop, so yeah, make that high.
And don’t forget about his height and weight. Zion, he’s a big boy, but he ain’t no giant like some of them other fellas. You gotta get that just right, or he won’t look right runnin’ up and down the court. My grandkids, they always fussin’ over these little details. They say it makes a difference. I just nod and pretend I know what they talkin’ about half the time.
Now, there’s all this other stuff, like “badges” and “takeovers” and whatnot. Sounds like a bunch of mumbo jumbo to me. But I hear tell they make your player even better. You gotta look those up online, I reckon. Or ask one of them young whippersnappers. They know all about this stuff. Just make sure you pick the ones that make Zion jump higher, run faster, and dunk harder. That’s what he’s all about.
And that’s about it, I reckon. It ain’t rocket science, even this old lady can figure out the basics. You just gotta fiddle around with them buttons and numbers until you get your Zion lookin’ and playin’ just right. And if you mess up, well, just start over. It ain’t the end of the world. Now go on and have some fun with that game. And don’t forget to eat your vegetables, ya hear?
One last thing, them grandkids of mine, they always watchin’ them videos online. Somethin’ called “YouTube,” I think. They say there’s all sorts of people showin’ you how to do this stuff. So, if you’re still confused, maybe go take a peek over there. They got pictures and everything, makes it easier to see what you gotta do. But watch out, you can get lost in that thing for hours, just clickin’ from one video to the next. Before you know it, the whole day’s gone, and you ain’t done nothin’ but watch that darn computer screen.
So that’s the long and short of it. Go make your Zion fella, and have yourself a good time. Remember, strong, fast, and dunks like a madman. That’s the ticket!
