Alright, so you wanna know what channel is Duke football game on today, huh? Well, lemme tell ya, it ain’t always easy to figure these things out. These young folks with their fancy TVs and all these different channels… it’s enough to make your head spin!
First thing you gotta do is figure out who Duke is playin’ against. That makes a big difference, see? If they’re playin’ one of them big-shot teams, it might be on one of them regular channels. You know, like ABC, or CBS, or that Fox one. My grandson, he’s always watchin’ somethin’ on one of them.

Now, if it ain’t on one of them regular channels, then you gotta start lookin’ at them other ones. They got all these fancy sports channels now, like ESPN and… what’s that other one? Something with a “Sling” in the name, I think. My neighbor, Mrs. Henderson, she’s got all them fancy channels, but she don’t know how to use ‘em half the time!
Sometimes, them games are on somethin’ called a “streamin’ service.” Don’t ask me what that means, it’s all gibberish to me. But apparently, you can watch the game on your computer or your phone, if you got one of them smarty-pants phones. My niece tried to show me how to do it once, but I just ended up tappin’ the wrong buttons and callin’ somebody by accident. So, I stick to the regular TV, thank you very much.
And then there’s this thing called “YouTube TV.” Now, I know about YouTube, my grandson watches all them funny cat videos on there. But apparently, they got live TV on there too, now? Who woulda thunk it? They say you can get all them regular channels, plus a bunch of other ones, all on that YouTube thing. Might be worth lookin’ into, if you got the patience for it.
Anyways, if you really wanna know what channel the Duke game is on, the best thing to do is to look it up online. My grandson, he always says “Google it, Grandma.” So, you go on that Google thing, and type in “Duke football schedule” or somethin’ like that. And then it should tell you what channel the game is on, or if it’s on one of them streamin’ thingamajigs.
Or, you know, you could just ask somebody. Maybe your kids know, or your grandkids. Or maybe that nice young man at the grocery store, he always seems to know everything about sports. Just don’t be afraid to ask, that’s what I always say. No use in sittin’ around guessin’ when you could just get the answer straight from the horse’s mouth, so to speak.
And if all else fails, well, you can always just listen to the game on the radio. That’s what we used to do back in the day. Just sit on the porch with a glass of sweet tea and listen to the announcer tell you what’s happenin’. It ain’t as fancy as watchin’ it on TV, but it gets the job done. And sometimes, it’s even more excitin’, ‘cause you gotta use your imagination to picture everything.
So, there you have it. That’s about all I know about findin’ the Duke football game on TV. It ain’t always easy, but with a little bit of effort, you should be able to figure it out. And if you can’t, well, just ask somebody. There’s always somebody around who knows more than you do, that’s for sure.
And remember, it’s just a game. Don’t get too worked up about it if you can’t find it right away. There’s plenty of other things to do in life besides watchin’ football. You could go for a walk, or read a book, or bake a pie. Or just sit on the porch and watch the birds go by. That’s what I like to do. It’s peaceful, and it don’t require no fancy technology or nothin’. Just you and the birds and the sunshine. That’s all you need, really.
But, if you’re really set on watchin’ that game, then I hope you find it. And I hope Duke wins, whoever they’re playin’ against. ‘Cause nothin’s better than seein’ them young fellas runnin’ around and catchin’ that ball. It’s excitin’, even for an old lady like me. Makes me feel young again, just for a little while.
Here’s a little summary to help you out:

- Check the regular channels like ABC, CBS, and Fox.
- Look at sports channels like ESPN or those streaming thingies.
- Try that YouTube TV thing if you got it.
- Search online for “Duke football schedule” or ask your family and friends.
- If you can’t find it on TV, listen on the radio, or hey just go outside and enjoy the day!
Good luck findin’ that game, and go Duke!
