That LeBron, he’s a big shot, ain’t he? Playin’ basketball like nobody’s business. He’s been doin’ it for a long, long time. I seen him on the TV, jumpin’ and throwin’ that ball. He’s gettin’ up there in age, though. Wonderin’ if he’s gonna be a GM, whatever that is. Sounds fancy. Some fella named Jeff Teague, he used to play, he thinks this is it for LeBron. No more playin’.
This NBA thing, it’s always goin’ on. They got this season thing, where they play all them games. And then they start talkin’ about tradin’ players, like they’re tradin’ chickens or somethin’. I heard some Scott Perry fella, he used to be a big shot with the Knicks, talkin’ about this Mikal Bridges. Don’t know him, but they sure do talk about him a lot. Like he’s some kinda prize pig.

And that LeBron James, he’s always laughin’ and carryin’ on. Saw a picture of him, laughin’ on the court. He plays for the Lakers, that’s what they call ’em. They play in Los Angeles, that’s far away. He was playin’ against the Atlanta Hawks. Another one of them teams.
There’s this other fella, Grimes, I think his name is. They might trade him, they might not. It’s like a game. If they trade him, he goes to another team. If they don’t, he stays.
They say LeBron might be done playin’ after a couple more years. Some fella on ESPN, Shams Charania, says he’s got a “sense” that 2025-26 will be his last go-around. Says his son, Bryce, might keep him playin’ a little longer. That boy, Bryce, he’s still in high school. Young’un.
- LeBron James
- Anthony Edwards
- Jayson Tatum
- Jimmy Butler
- Domantas Sabonis
They talkin’ ’bout who’s gonna be the big shot after LeBron hangs it up. They mention this Luka Doncic, plays for the Dallas Mavericks, and that Jayson Tatum, plays for the Boston Celtics. Heard those names a lot. They’re good, I reckon. Good enough to be the next big thing, maybe.
LeBron, he’s got this show now, too. It’s called “Starting 5”. Got ten episodes, whatever that means. They say it’s about him and four other fellas. There’s that Anthony Edwards from Minnesota, that Jayson Tatum from Boston again, Jimmy Butler from Miami, and Domantas Sabonis from Sacramento. They’re all big shots, just like LeBron.

LeBron, he’s always in Las Vegas, too. Was there last year, doin’ somethin’ or other. He’s always doin’ somethin’. Busy fella. Maybe that’s why he’s thinkin’ about bein’ a GM. He’s done all that playin’, maybe he wants to tell other folks what to do now.
But bein’ a GM, that’s a whole different ball game. He’s gotta pick the players, gotta make the trades. Gotta make sure the team’s doin’ good. It’s a lot of work, I bet. More work than just throwin’ that ball around.
That LeBron, he’s a smart fella, though. He’s been around the NBA for a long time. He knows all the tricks. He knows all the players. He probably knows more than them GM fellas do now. He just might be good at it. Real good.
This NBA, it’s a big business. Lots of money in it. Lots of folks watchin’. Lots of folks bettin’ on it, too, I hear. It’s a whole world, that NBA. And LeBron, he’s right in the middle of it. Always has been, always will be, I reckon. Even if he ain’t playin’ no more, he’ll still be there, tellin’ folks what to do. That’s just LeBron.
But that GM thing, it ain’t gonna be easy. He’s gonna have to deal with all them owners, and them players, and them agents. It’s a headache, I bet. But LeBron, he can handle it. He’s handled worse, I’m sure.

So, will LeBron be a GM? Who knows. Maybe. Maybe not. But if he does, he’ll be a good one. He’s good at everything, that LeBron. Just you wait and see. He will be a good NBA GM, maybe the best. But he need to be careful, being a GM ain’t easy. Not like playing basketball. It’s harder. Lots of people to deal with. He needs to be tough.
