Alright, so you wanna know what channel and time is NASCAR race on today, huh? Well, let me tell ya, it ain’t always the same, you know. These races, they jump around more than a flea on a dog.
Sometimes, them races are on that USA Network. You know, the one with all them letters. Other times, they show up on NBC. Big fancy letters, just like them city folks like. And then there’s FOX too. Them fellas with the talking animals. Don’t ask me why, they just like it that way.

Now, about the time. That’s a whole ‘nother story. Sometimes they start early, like around 2 p.m. That’s what they call “Central Time“, or somethin’ like that. Other times, it’s later, like 3 p.m. or even 6 p.m. They call that “Eastern Time“. Sounds mighty important, but it just means you gotta eat your supper a little later.
But here’s the thing, it ain’t always the same place neither! They got these races all over the country. One week they’re in Phoenix, Arizona. Hot as a furnace out there, I tell ya. Then they might be in Kansas, where the wind blows like crazy. Or maybe down in Darlington. That’s down south, where they make that sweet tea.
And don’t forget those fancy races, like that NASCAR Cup Series Championship. That’s a big deal, you know. They got all the best drivers racin’ for the big prize. That one, it usually starts around 3 p.m. Eastern Time, but you better check to be sure, ’cause they like to change things up just to keep you on your toes.
- Channels: USA Network, NBC, FOX, sometimes FS1
- Start Times: Could be 2 p.m., 3 p.m., 3:30 p.m., or even 6 p.m., depending on where they are and what day it is. Remember, they got different times like “Central Time” and “Eastern Time”, so you gotta figure that out too.
- Places: They race all over! Phoenix, Kansas, Darlington, Atlanta, all them fancy places with big racetracks.
One time, I remember tryin’ to watch that fella, Joey Logano. He’s one of them good ones, won a bunch of championships. Anyway, I turned on the TV, and it was nothin’ but golf! Golf! Can you believe it? Turns out, I had the wrong channel and the wrong time. I was madder than a wet hen, let me tell ya.
So, how do you figure out this mess? Well, the best thing to do is to check that TV guide thingy. Or you can ask one of them young’uns, they always know how to find stuff on the internet. They just type in somethin’ like “NASCAR race today channel and time” and bam! There it is.

And if you’re lucky, you might even catch one of them “streaming” things. I don’t know much about that, but apparently you can watch it on your phone or your computer. They got this thing called “Fubo” and some other ones too. Sounds like witchcraft to me, but them young folks swear by it.
And don’t forget, these races can be long, real long. Sometimes they go on for hours. So you better have some snacks and somethin’ to drink. I like to have a big bowl of popcorn and a glass of sweet tea. That’s the way to watch a race, I tell ya.
NASCAR is always movin’ around from channel to channel, and the times are all over the place too. But if you do your homework, you can figure it out. And if you don’t, well, you might end up watchin’ golf instead. And nobody wants that, do they?
Just remember to check the channel – USA Network, NBC, FOX, or maybe even FS1 – and the time, payin’ attention to whether it’s Central Time or Eastern Time. And keep an eye out for where the race is at – Phoenix, Kansas, Darlington, Atlanta, or some other place. It’s a lot to keep track of, but that’s just how they do things in the racin’ world.
So, there you have it. Everything I know about watchin’ them NASCAR races. It ain’t always easy, but it’s always excitin’. And that’s what matters, right? Now, if you’ll excuse me, I gotta go find that TV guide…
