Okay, so, let me tell you about the time I tried to clean my boxing wraps. I’ve been using them for a while, and boy, did they start to stink!
Getting Started
First, I gathered everything I needed. I mean, it’s not rocket science, right? You just need your smelly wraps, a sink, some soap, and water. I grabbed my wraps from my gym bag – phew, they were ripe! – and headed to the bathroom.

The Washing Process
I filled the sink with some lukewarm water, not too hot, not too cold. Then, I added a bit of mild detergent, just regular laundry soap. Nothing fancy. I tossed the wraps in and started scrubbing them together. I could see the water turning all murky and gross.
- Unravel: First things first, you gotta unravel those bad boys. Don’t just throw them in the wash all tangled up.
- Soak: I let them soak in the soapy water for like 15-20 minutes, just to give that soap a chance to do its thing.
- Scrub: After the soak, I scrubbed them some more. Paid extra attention to the parts that touch my hands the most.
- Rinse: Then, it was time to rinse. I drained the dirty water and filled the sink with clean water. I kept rinsing until there were no more soap suds.
Drying Them Out
Now for the drying. I gently squeezed out the excess water. Don’t wring them like crazy, or you might mess up the fabric. I laid them out flat on a towel. Some folks hang them up, but I didn’t want them to stretch out too much. I kept them flat to dry to avoid stretching as much as possible
The Result
It took a while for them to dry completely, maybe a full day. But once they were dry, wow, what a difference! They smelled way better, not like a locker room anymore. I felt good know they’re fresh and ready to go when I train next time.
Honestly, it wasn’t that hard. Just a little bit of time and elbow grease, and those wraps were good as new. It’s totally worth doing to keep your gear fresh and your training buddies happy. If I can do it, you can do it too!
