Hey guys, it’s your boy back again with another post. Today I wanna talk about something I tried out recently – finding an NFL game on the radio. Yeah, I know, we all usually just stream or watch on TV, but sometimes you’re stuck in the car or whatever, and the radio’s your only option. So I was driving, and I really wanted to catch the game, and I’m like, “what am radio station is NFL on?”
First, I tried just scanning through all the AM stations. That was a pain. So many stations, and most of them were just talk radio or old music. I did stumble across some sports talk, but it was all just people arguing, not the actual game.

Trying the Internet
Next, I used my phone – gotta love technology, right? I searched “NFL radio stations” online. I found out that SiriusXM has every NFL game, but I don’t have a subscription, so that was a no-go.
Then I found something about ESPN being the main place for Monday Night Football. It mentioned something about streaming through their app, but I was driving, so that wasn’t really an option. Plus, my phone data is a little weak.
Figuring Out Local Stations
There was this one website I saw that said each NFL team has its own network of local radio stations. That made sense. But then you had to find out which stations were part of that team’s network.
- Searching Team Stations: Each team has a list of their affiliate stations.
- Finding Local Affiliates: I had to look up the teams playing and then find their radio affiliates in my area.
It took some digging. I had to go to the team’s website, find their radio network page, and then look for stations in my state. Finally, I found one! KDUS AM 1060 seemed to carry some NFL games, so I tuned in there.
Success!
And guess what? They were broadcasting the game! I was so pumped. It wasn’t the best quality, a little static here and there, but I was listening to the game live! It felt kinda old-school, but it worked.

So, yeah, it’s not as simple as just turning on the TV, but you can definitely find NFL games on the radio. You just gotta do a little research to figure out which local stations carry the games. Or, you know, get a SiriusXM subscription, but where’s the fun in that?
Anyway, that’s my little adventure for today. Hope this helps someone out there who’s stuck in their car and desperate for some football. Catch you guys in the next one!
