So, I got interested in this question: Why isn’t Porsche in F1? I mean, they’re like the kings of racing, right? I spent a good chunk of my weekend digging into this.
First, I started with the official Porsche website. I thought, “Okay, let’s see what they’re up to.” I browsed through their current models. They talk a lot about their “dream vehicle” and “authorised Porsche Centres”, but nothing about F1. They’re all about selling those sweet, sweet cars. They’re pushing their brand as a luxury lifestyle, with slogans like “Stories Experience Mobility Design Dreams”. Okay, makes sense. Business is business.

Digging Deeper into Porsche’s World
Then I hit up their YouTube channel. “Welcome to the thrilling world of Porsche,” it says. Lots of cool videos, road trips, how-tos, you name it. It’s all about that “Porsche passion”, fitting their cars into your life. Still no F1. They are not interested in that, I guess.
Next, I wanted to see what the higher-ups were saying. I found some company info – press releases, sales stats, the usual corporate stuff. Names like Timo Resch and Thierry Kartochian popped up, big shots at Porsche, I guess. But, again, nothing on Formula 1. Maybe they are not talking to the public, or maybe not, no idea.
Fans and Their Love for Porsche
I stumbled upon this site, “Liebe zu Ihm – Love for Porsche.” Sounds pretty serious, right? It’s like a fan club, all about Porsche’s history and news, but even there, F1 was nowhere to be seen. I guess they are only talking about their cars, not racing.
I checked out some of Porsche’s social media highlights from 2022. Superheroes eating burgers, seriously. They even had a thing with LEGO, people building their own Porsches. It was more about fun and games than hardcore racing, you know?
The Driving Experience
Then, I saw a quote that kind of summed it up: “It’s the experience of driving a Porsche, where every curve and straightaway blend power and precision.” That’s what they’re selling – that feeling of driving an amazing car, not necessarily winning races at the highest level. Many people are saying they love their Porsche because of the design, performance, and speed, but that does not mean they have to join the F1.

So, after all this, I realized Porsche’s just not about F1. They’re about the experience, the lifestyle, the luxury. They’re killing it in their own lane, selling dreams and fast cars. Maybe F1 just doesn’t fit into that picture right now. Who knows, maybe they’ll change their mind someday, but for now, they’re doing their own thing. And honestly, it seems to be working out pretty well for them.
