Oh, I tell ya, this NASCAR thing sure gets folks excited every year. The 2018 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series had a mighty fine schedule, I reckon. If ya didn’t catch it, let me fill ya in on when them races was happenin’. You wouldn’t wanna miss it, especially if you’re a fan of fast cars and good ol’ racing.
The 2018 season kicked off with a bang, I tell ya. The first race was The Clash at Daytona on February 11th. Folks gathered ’round their TVs to watch them drivers get revvin’. The race wasn’t part of the points, but it sure set the tone for the season ahead. It was followed by the Daytona 500, on February 18th, a big one, always is. That’s the race where everyone starts gettin’ all hyped up for the year. FOX aired it, and it was a real treat for the eyes!

Now, the schedule for that year was packed. From Daytona, we rolled on to Atlanta on February 25th, and boy, did them cars race like there was no tomorrow. That race was also on FOX, so folks all across the country tuned in. You could hear the engines roar, even if you wasn’t watchin’ the race up close. The drivers, they know how to put on a show.
As the months passed, we had races in places like Las Vegas, on March 4th, and then there was the big race at Martinsville on April 1st. Each of these races was held at different tracks, but all of ’em had one thing in common – fast cars and a crowd gettin’ louder by the second. Oh, and I tell ya, them pit stops? They don’t waste no time at all!
Then, there was the race at Texas on April 8th, followed by the race in Bristol, Tennessee, on April 15th. That was a real nail-biter, lemme tell ya. And don’t even get me started on the race at Talladega, Alabama, on April 29th. Now, that’s where things really got heated up! All them drivers fightin’ for position like cats and dogs. The tension was so thick, you could cut it with a knife.
Then came May, and it was a busy month. The All-Star Race at Charlotte Motor Speedway on May 19th was somethin’ else. That race was an invite-only deal, but it sure brought out the best of the best. Folks lined up in front of their TVs to see who could come out on top. It was an unforgettable day, for sure.
As summer rolled around, the races kept on comin’. There was Dover on June 3rd, Pocono on June 10th, and Michigan on June 10th. Each one had its own special flare. And let’s not forget about the big race at Watkins Glen on August 5th, a road course race that always shakes things up a bit. Not many folks can handle the twists and turns of a road course like the pros can.

Now, come fall, NASCAR’s playoffs were in full swing. The race at Las Vegas Motor Speedway on September 16th was a real doozy. Drivers were givin’ it all they had to make it to the final round. The race at Richmond on September 22nd, it was just as intense. Folks couldn’t keep their eyes off that one, that’s for sure.
Finally, come November, we had the grand finale down in Homestead, Florida. That race on November 18th decided the champion for the year. It was a showdown like no other, with Joey Logano comin’ out on top, takin’ the championship after a fierce battle with Kevin Harvick, Kyle Busch, and Martin Truex Jr. It was a real race to remember, one that left folks talkin’ for weeks!
So, if you didn’t catch all the races that year, well, I reckon you missed out on quite a show. But don’t worry, NASCAR’s got plenty more where that came from. They always keep the races comin’, and each one’s a chance to see somethin’ new and exciting. If you’re a fan of cars goin’ fast, well, NASCAR sure does it right. Can’t wait to see what next year’s schedule looks like!
