Okay, so, today I wanna talk about how to buy clothes in NBA 2K24. I’ve been messing around with this game a lot lately, and one of the things I really wanted to figure out was how to get my player looking fresh. I mean, who doesn’t want their MyPlayer to be the most stylish guy on the court, right?
First, I booted up the game and jumped into MyCareer mode. That’s where all the fun stuff happens. I played a few games, earned some VC, which is the in-game currency. You need that stuff to buy anything, clothes included.
Talk to Shai
- Start the game and go to MyCareer.
- Look for Shai. He’s the guy that hooks you up with some free fashion rewards. You can find him, talk to him, and start the Side Quest.
- Complete the Side Quest. This will get you some free clothes and also lets you change your jersey in MyCareer.
After getting some freebies from Shai, I realized I needed more VC to buy the really cool stuff. So, I started grinding. Played some more games, did some endorsements, and basically did everything I could to rack up that virtual cash.
Once I had a decent amount of VC, I headed over to the shops. There are a few different stores in the game where you can buy clothes. I checked out Swag’s and a couple of other spots. Each store has its own style, so you gotta browse around to find what you like.
I spent a good chunk of time just trying on different outfits. There’s a ton of options – shirts, pants, shoes, hats, accessories, you name it. I was like a kid in a candy store, mixing and matching to create the perfect look for my player.
Be Careful
- Don’t cheat. Seriously, don’t even think about hacking or boosting. 2K is strict about this stuff.
- Avoid “boosting”. This means teaming up with others to cheat in online games. If you get caught, you’ll lose your progress and might even get banned.
- Play fair. Earn your VC the right way by playing games and completing quests.
Finally, I found a few outfits that I really dug. I made sure to check the prices and made my purchases. It felt good to finally see my player decked out in some new gear. It’s a small thing, but it really does make the game more enjoyable.
One thing I learned is that you should keep an eye out for sales. Sometimes the stores will have discounts, and you can snag some nice clothes for a lot less VC. It’s always a good idea to save up and wait for those deals.
Also, don’t forget about the daily spin. You can get free stuff from that, including clothes sometimes. It’s a bit of a gamble, but hey, free is free, right?

Just remember to earn your VC legitimately, check out all the stores, and have fun creating your own unique style. And steer clear of any shady stuff like hacking or boosting.
