So, I’ve got this bunch of NASCAR stuff, right? Old diecast cars, signed photos, you name it. I used to be a huge fan, but honestly, it’s all just gathering dust now. Figured it’s time to let go and maybe make a few bucks in the process. The big question was, where do I even start selling this stuff?
First thing I did was hit up Google. Typed in “where to sell NASCAR memorabilia” and, man, the results were all over the place. Lots of websites I’d never heard of, some forums, and a bunch of articles. It was pretty overwhelming, to be honest.

eBay
Then I remembered good old eBay. I mean, you can sell pretty much anything there, so why not NASCAR stuff? I spent some time browsing listings, just to get a feel for what other people were selling and how much they were asking. Found a bunch of similar items to mine, which was helpful. It gave me a ballpark idea of what my collection might be worth.
Setting up the listings took a bit of time. I wanted to make sure the photos were good, the descriptions were accurate, and I had all the details right. I even took some extra time to clean up the items a bit, making sure they looked their best. A little extra work at this point, I figured, would make a big difference.
- Took a bunch of photos from different angles.
- Wrote detailed descriptions, including any flaws or damage.
- Set what I thought were reasonable prices, based on what I saw on other listings.
I also looked into the whole shipping thing. eBay’s got this thing where they tell you about how much it costs to send items, pretty neat, and give you some options to ship stuff. I decided to go with calculated shipping, so buyers would pay the actual cost based on their location. Seemed fair to me.
Other Options
Besides eBay, I did stumble upon a couple of other places. There are some websites that specialize in sports memorabilia, but I wasn’t sure about them. They seemed a bit niche, and I wasn’t sure how much traffic they actually got.
And then there were forums. Lots of dedicated NASCAR fan forums out there. I thought about posting there, but it felt a bit spammy. Plus, I wasn’t sure about handling payments and shipping directly with people I didn’t know. eBay at least offered some protection with their money-back guarantee.

The Waiting Game
Once I had everything listed on eBay, it was just a matter of waiting. I kept an eye on the listings, answering questions from potential buyers and seeing if I needed to adjust anything. After a few days, I made a few sales! It was exciting to see those first few items go. I made sure to pack them up carefully and shipped them out right away. Left feedback for the buyers, too. Good communication is key, I learned.
It’s been a few weeks now, and I’ve sold most of my collection. Made a decent chunk of change, too, which is always nice. It was definitely a learning experience, figuring out the best way to sell these items. eBay ended up being the best way for me to sell my items. I will continue to use it to sell things.
So, if you’ve got some NASCAR memorabilia lying around and you’re thinking of selling, hopefully, my little adventure here gives you some ideas. It’s not rocket science, but it does take a bit of effort. But hey, it’s a great way to declutter and make some money at the same time!
