Okay, so, I really wanted to watch F1 in Vegas, but I didn’t have tickets. I thought, “There’s gotta be a way to watch it, right?” So I started digging around to see if it was possible. I mean, you can watch almost anything these days without having to be there in person.
First, I checked out some streaming services. I found this thing called Pluto TV. They say you can watch “250+ channels of free TV and 1000’s of On-Demand movies and TV shows.” Sounds pretty good, right? I figured maybe they’d have something related to F1. I browsed through their channels, but no luck. Lots of movies and shows, but nothing about the race.
Then I thought about YouTube. They have a lot of full-length movies for free. It’s kinda hit or miss, but I thought maybe, just maybe, someone was streaming the race live. I searched and searched, but all I could find were highlights and old races. Nothing live. I got a bit frustrated because I thought this would be so easy.
I stumbled upon another streaming service called BET+. They say you can “stream Black culture, anytime, anywhere, commercial-free.” I don’t know much about it, but it didn’t seem like they’d have F1. Still, I checked it out, just in case. Nope, nothing there either. It’s more focused on different kinds of shows and movies.
While I was searching, I even saw an ad about some phone service with “unlimited local and nationwide calling” and a bunch of calling features. I thought, “What does this have to do with watching F1?” It was totally unrelated, but it just shows how much stuff is out there.
I kept digging and found a website that offers free translation between tons of languages. I was getting desperate at this point. I didn’t need translation, but it just shows how many different things you can find online. It’s crazy. I did not use this service because it does not related with F1.
Then I got a bit sidetracked. I saw something about someone in Brazil trying to buy a game, but they couldn’t because of where they live. It reminded me that not everything is available everywhere. Maybe that was the problem with the F1 race, too. Maybe they just don’t stream it in certain places. I felt pity for him because I come from China and also have the same problem with him sometimes.

Finally, I realized something obvious. You can watch movies at home, in your pajamas, without worrying about anything. That’s the beauty of streaming. I kept this in mind as I continued my search. Although the race is not a movie, it also can be watched on TV, right?
I also found a recipe for some soup with canned carrots, corn, and green beans. I know it is totally unrelated thing, but I was hungry at the time. It was so random, but it reminded me that the internet has everything, just not always what you’re looking for.
So, after all that searching, I didn’t find a way to watch the F1 race in Vegas without tickets. I guess some things you just have to be there in person to see. It was a bit of a letdown, but it was also a reminder of how much stuff is available online, and how much isn’t. Maybe next time, I’ll just have to get tickets. But for now, no race for me.
