Okay, so the other day I was trying to catch the NASCAR race, but I wasn’t at home near my TV. I figured, “Hey, it’s gotta be on the radio, right?” So, I started my little mission to find it.
Figuring Out Where to Start
First things first, I needed to know where to even look. I remembered something about a network specifically for NASCAR, so I grabbed my phone and did some digging.

I typed something in the search like “NASCAR radio broadcast,” and a name I recalled from somewhere. It was Motor Racing Network, also called “MRN”.
Tuning In
I learned MRN broadcasts to tons of stations all over the country.
Finding the Right Station
So, I started scanning through the FM stations, one by one. I figured it would be quicker to find the race.
I was going up and down the dial, and finally, BINGO! I heard the roar of the engines and the commentators talking about the race. I don’t remember the number of station, but that doesn’t really matter. I finally listened to the game.
My Takeaway
Next time, I’ll probably try to find the station ahead of time. But hey, it all worked out. It’s pretty cool that you can still catch these races on regular old radio, and I do not need to look for it when I am free. It’s like a little slice of tradition in a high-tech world.
