Okay, so the other day I was watching NASCAR, and it got me thinking – are there any openly gay drivers? I mean, it’s 2024, right? So I decided to do some digging.
My Little Research Project
First, I hit up Google. I just typed in “gay NASCAR drivers” and started scrolling.
I skimmed through a bunch of articles and forum posts. And to be super honest, at first, I was getting nowhere. Then, popped up some discussions.
What I Found Out
I found a lot of “no, not really”.It’s sound like not that simple.
- There are a lot of peoples are taking about “Stephen Rhodes”.
Digging Deeper
I spent a good chunk of time reading personal stories on some forums . This Stephen Rhodes guy, he’s apparently talked about wanting to make a comeback.
So, I guess to answer my own question, are there any openly gay NASCAR drivers right now? Seems like the answer is still no. But there are drivers like Stephen who have talked about this .
It’s kind of a bummer, I hoped there was more representation.
