Okay, so I’ve been getting really into WWE 2K23 lately. It’s a blast, but I wanted to play with some buddies who are on different consoles. So, I started digging into this whole “cross-gen” thing to see if we could actually make it happen.
I started by hitting up Google, just searching “is WWE 2K23 cross gen”. I figured the official 2K website or some gaming news sites would have the answer.
I spent a good chunk of time sifting through articles and forum posts. It got a bit confusing, to be honest, with all the talk about different console generations and whatnot.
My Findings
After all that searching, what it boils down to is simple:
- The bad news? WWE 2K23 does not have full cross-platform play. Meaning, if I’m on PlayStation 5, I can’t play with someone on Xbox Series X. Bummer.
It’s a bit of a letdown, I won’t lie. I was really hoping to throw down with my friends, regardless of what console they had. Seems that for now, It is restricted to online play on the same platforms.
