Well, I tell ya, that “King and Queen of the Ring” thing sure got a lot of folks talkin’. It happened on May 25th, 2024, in that fancy place they call Jeddah, over in Saudi Arabia. Now, I ain’t much for all them fancy names and places, but I hear this was a big deal, so I reckon it was something worth mentionin’.
Now, this ain’t just any ol’ wrestling event. Nope, this was one of them special shows they put on to crown the best of the best. They got a King and a Queen, just like the old days, only now they do it all in the ring, with a bunch of folks slappin’ and punchin’. Ain’t no ballroom dances here, no sir. It’s all about who’s the toughest.

The whole thing kicked off with a pre-show match. Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill teamed up and they sure did give Indi Hartwell and Candice LeRae a real good beatin’. Now, I don’t know much about them gals, but they sure do know how to put on a show. Bianca and Jade walked away with the win, and I reckon that’s just how the pre-show was supposed to go. Ain’t nobody want to start the night with a boring match, right?
But the real action started later, when they got to the big match-ups. Cody Rhodes, that fella with the fancy American lookin’ name, he was up against Logan Paul. You ever heard of him? Some say he’s a big shot on them YouTube things. Anyway, Cody kept his Undisputed WWE Title, beatin’ Logan Paul in a match that made a lot of folks sweat. Now, I ain’t seen a match like that since the days when the old timers used to wrestle in muddy fields. These folks sure know how to work up a crowd.
As for the King and Queen of the Ring, well, that’s where things get interestin’. Now, the King part, that’s usually been a big deal, somethin’ real important, but the Queen part, I gotta say, it was somethin’ new. They started callin’ it the “Queen of the Ring” not too long ago, and this year, they had Nia Jax gunnin’ for that crown. Now, don’t get me wrong, Nia’s a big ol’ powerhouse, but she ain’t exactly the nicest person in the ring. Some folks think that’s what makes her a perfect fit for the Queen. I ain’t so sure, but the way they was talkin’ before the show, looks like Nia was gonna take the whole thing home.
Now, you might be wonderin’ what them fancy “star ratings” mean, and to be honest, I don’t know much about ’em either. They say some fella by the name of Dave Meltzer, who I think is a big deal in the wrestling world, gave the matches ratings. He don’t always see eye to eye with folks, but I reckon he knows what he’s talkin’ about. Some of the matches got pretty high ratings, while others, well, they didn’t do so hot. But then again, ain’t every match a winner, is it?
So, in the end, what did we get outta all this? Well, the King and Queen of the Ring gave folks what they wanted: action, drama, and a little bit of surprise. That’s what wrestling is all about, ain’t it? You never know what’s gonna happen next, and that’s what keeps folks comin’ back for more.

If you didn’t catch it live, don’t worry. You can always find out who won and what happened on all them fancy websites and TV shows. They always gotta keep folks talkin’, even after the event’s done and gone. But you know, the best part is when the crowd goes wild. Ain’t nothin’ like hearin’ a whole bunch of folks cheerin’ and hollerin’ for their favorites. It just makes you feel like you’re part of somethin’ big. And that’s what wrestling’s all about. It’s about bein’ part of the action, whether you’re in that ring or sittin’ on your couch watchin’ the whole thing unfold.
So, if you missed this one, don’t be too upset. There’s always another big match comin’ up, and who knows? Maybe next time, you’ll catch your favorite wrestler in the ring, and they’ll be crowned the next King or Queen. But one thing’s for sure – when it comes to wrestling, you never really know who’s gonna come out on top until the very end!
