Well now, if you’re sittin’ there thinkin’ about pickin’ Kenny Pickett for your fantasy football team, lemme tell ya, you might want to think real hard ‘fore you go and make that choice. Ain’t nobody here to tell ya what to do, but I’ll tell ya what I know, and that might just help ya make up your mind.
Now, Kenny Pickett, he’s been playin’ quarterback for the Pittsburgh Steelers, and I reckon he’s tryin’ his best, but, well, he ain’t exactly blowin’ the roof off with his numbers. You see, as of right now, he’s sittin’ pretty far down the ranks. If you look at them fantasy points, he’s got a measly 0.3 points this season. That ain’t a whole lot, is it? No sir. Not even enough to get ya excited if you ask me. Now, if you break that down, it comes out to 0.2 points per game, which makes him the 59th ranked quarterback in the whole league. You can imagine that ain’t too good if you’re lookin’ to win your fantasy league.

In them two games he’s played so far this year, Kenny only got 5 passin’ yards. Yep, you read that right, just five. Outta three pass attempts, mind you, and not a single touchdown to show for it. No interceptions neither, but still—5 yards? That’s like tryna stretch a single grain of corn across the whole field and expect it to grow into a crop. Ain’t much to work with there!
Now, don’t get me wrong, I know some folks out there might say Kenny’s just gettin’ started, and he could still turn things around. They’re talkin’ ‘bout his second year with the Steelers, and I’ve heard some folks sayin’ that quarterbacks sometimes do better in their second season. You know, they get their feet wet and start to get a feel for the game. But so far, it’s hard to say that Kenny’s shown us much to get excited about, at least not for your fantasy team.
Some people are sayin’ there’s still hope for him, that maybe this year he’s gonna make a big jump. Well, that might be the case, but right now, all we got is the numbers, and the numbers ain’t lookin’ too hot. Now, if you’ve got your heart set on him, I reckon you could maybe take a flyer on him, but be careful. His current Average Draft Position (ADP) is somewhere around QB21, which is down there near the bottom of the list. That don’t exactly scream “must-have” to me.
For comparison, when you look at some of the top players out there, they’re really rakin’ in the fantasy points. Guys like Patrick Mahomes, Josh Allen, and Jalen Hurts—now those are the kind of quarterbacks that are gonna put up the big numbers and win ya some weeks. But Kenny Pickett? He’s not quite in that same league yet.
If you’re lookin’ for a solid pick at quarterback, maybe it’s best to steer clear of Kenny for now. Sure, he’s got potential, but you ain’t gonna win no championships by takin’ chances on folks who ain’t proven themselves yet. There’s plenty of other quarterbacks out there that can give ya a whole lot more bang for your buck.

But hey, if you’re real patient, maybe Kenny’s gonna surprise us all and show up when it matters. I reckon we’ll just have to wait and see how the season shakes out. But right now, if you’re makin’ a fantasy pick and you’re lookin’ to build a winning team, I’d say pass on Pickett. At least for now.
In the end, fantasy football’s all about them points, and Kenny just ain’t givin’ us enough of ’em. You want someone who’s gonna put up solid numbers week after week, and at the moment, Kenny ain’t quite there yet. Keep your eyes peeled though—stranger things have happened in this game!
