Alright, so you wanna know ’bout that there car racin’, huh? The NASCAR, they call it. Fast cars goin’ ’round and ’round. Sounds like a bunch of noise to me, but folks seem to like it.
Now, you’re askin’ about what time and channel it’s on today. That’s a good question, ’cause it ain’t always the same. These things, they change ’em up all the time, just to keep you on your toes, I reckon.

What time does that NASCAR race start today, you say? Well, it depends on where they’re racin’ at, see? Sometimes they’re in one place, sometimes they’re in another. Like that fella said, they might be at the Phoenix Raceway, and then it starts at 3 p.m. Eastern Time, that’s what they say. Or maybe it’s one o’clock in the afternoon if you’re already there. They were also talkin’ about Homestead-Miami Speedway, and said it was on Sunday. But they didn’t say what time.
Then there’s that Darlington place. The Cook Out Southern 500, they call it. That one starts at 6 p.m. Eastern Time, mind you. And don’t forget about Daytona! The Coke Zero Sugar 400, that’s a Saturday night race, starts at 7:30 p.m. Eastern Time. See? All different times and places.
And Watkins Glen, oh my! That one’s on Sunday too. They didn’t say what time, those fellas, but they said it was the Go Bowling race, which sounds like fun, I guess, if you like watchin’ cars go fast.
- So, to recap, times be different:
- Phoenix: 3 p.m. ET
- Darlington: 6 p.m. ET
- Daytona: 7:30 p.m. ET (on Saturday)
- Homestead-Miami Speedway: Sunday, no time given.
- Watkins Glen: Sunday, no time given.
Now, what about the channel? That’s another thing that changes. Sometimes it’s on USA Network, sometimes it’s on NBC. They said the Kansas playoff race was on both of them, USA and NBC. I don’t know nothin’ ‘bout Kansas, but I guess them cars go there too. And for the Championship race, they said it was on NBC in the US and TSN in Canada.
And if you ain’t got cable, like some folks I know, they say you can watch it on somethin’ called Fubo. Or Peacock. Sounds like a bunch of birds to me, but they say it’s how you watch TV these days. You can even try that Fubo thing for free for a week, they say. And Peacock, they got all sorts of stuff, not just racin’.

Then there’s this DIRECTV thing. They got all them channels, like FOX, USA Network, NBC, ESPN, and all them other ones. But you gotta pay for that, I reckon. Nothin’s free in this world, is it?
So, the best thing to do is to check your local listings, that’s what I always say. Or go online, if you know how to do that fancy stuff. They said somethin’ ’bout Joey Logano and Tyler Reddick bein’ in the championship, whoever they are. Guess they’re fast drivers.
Anyways, that’s about all I know ’bout them races. Hope it helps you figure out when and where to watch them cars go ’round and ’round. Just remember, times and channels change, so keep an eye out.
And don’t forget, it’s just a bunch of cars goin’ fast. Nothin’ to get too worked up about, if you ask me.
