Hey everyone, it’s your boy back again with another one of my little adventures. So, I’ve been wanting to find out when this NASCAR Cup race is happening on Sunday. I’m not the biggest racing fan, but I got a buddy who’s really into it, and I promised him I’d watch it with him.
First things first, I grabbed my phone and fired up Google. Typed in something like, “what time is the NASCAR cup race on Sunday?” I scrolled through a bunch of results, and clicked on a few that looked promising.

What I Learned
- One of the pages I landed on mentioned that the race is going down at Phoenix Raceway. Sounds fancy, right? And it said the green flag drops around 3 p.m. ET, which is 1 p.m. local time. But I wasn’t sure if this was for today or next week.
- Another site talked about how some driver named Martin Truex, Jr. is gonna be leading the pack. Apparently, it’s his last race as a full-time driver. That’s kind of a big deal, I guess.
- Then I found this other page that listed a bunch of networks that show the races, like NBC, USA Network, FOX, FS1, and even Amazon Prime Video. Nice to know I got options. And this one confirmed it’s today at 3 p.m. ET. Cool, I got the time right!
- I even stumbled upon some info about free trials for DirecTV Stream and fuboTV. If you’re looking to watch without paying, that might be the way to go.
- But wait, there’s more! One of these sites mentioned a race on September 1st at 6 p.m. ET at Darlington Raceway. That’s not today, but I made a mental note of it. You never know when that info might come in handy.
- And then there was this one result that said the race was postponed to February 19th at 4 p.m. ET. What the heck? I was a little confused, but I figured it must be an old update or something.
So, after all that digging, I’m pretty sure I got it now. The NASCAR Cup Series Championship is today, Sunday, at 3 p.m. ET, and it’s on a bunch of different networks. I might even check out one of those free trials. Anyway, I hope this helps some of you out there who might be as clueless as I was. Time to grab some snacks and get ready for some racing action!
Update: I just talked to my friend, and he confirmed the race is definitely today at 3 p.m. ET. He also told me a bit more about Martin Truex Jr. and how he’s a legend in the sport. I guess I have some catching up to do. Looking forward to the race!
