Okay, so I’ve been a DirecTV subscriber for like, forever. And one of the main reasons I’ve stuck with them is the NFL Sunday Ticket. I’m a HUGE football fan, and it’s the only way to catch all the out-of-market games. But lately, I’d been hearing rumors that it was going away, moving to some streaming service. Naturally, I freaked out a little.
So, I decided to get to the bottom of it. First, I grabbed my phone and started Googling. I typed in “DirecTV NFL Sunday Ticket 2024” and a bunch of articles popped up.

My Research Journey
- I scrolled through the search results and saw a lot of talk about YouTube TV. Hmm, that was a red flag.
- I found some articles that said the rights to NFL Sunday Ticket had moved.
- I started to feel a little worried at this point, but also the content is too old, I need the latest news about it.
Then, I decided to go straight to the source. I opened a new tab and typed in the DirecTV website. I navigated to their sports packages section, poking around for any mention of the NFL Sunday Ticket.
I read through a lot of the fine print, and I found the information I needed, it just said that the place to watch NFL SUNDAY TICKET is on YouTube. That’s not what I was expecting to hear, but it will do.
So, there you have it. My little investigation confirmed that it had moved to YouTube TV. It’s a bummer for me since I liked having everything bundled with DirecTV, but at least I know where to find my football games now!
