Alright, so you wanna know what channel is Sunday’s NASCAR race on? Well, let me tell ya, it ain’t always easy figuring these things out. These TV folks, they like to make things complicated, always changing things around. But don’t you worry, I’ll try my best to explain it to ya, plain and simple, like how we talk in the village.
First off, you gotta know which race you’re talkin’ about. Is it the big championship race? Or just some regular ol’ race? See, that makes a difference. If it’s the championship, that’s usually on a big channel, like NBC. Yeah, NBC, that’s the one with the peacock. They like to show the important stuff.

Now, if it ain’t the championship, it could be on a bunch of different channels. Sometimes it’s on Fox, you know, the one with the loud music and all the yelling. Other times, it might be on FS1, that’s like Fox’s little brother, shows a lot of sports. And then there’s USA Network, they show all sorts of things, sometimes even car races.
And get this, they got these newfangled ways of watchin’ TV now. It ain’t just about the channels anymore. They got this thing called Fubo. Sounds like some kinda food, don’t it? But it ain’t food. It’s like… a place where you can watch all sorts of channels, even online. They say you can watch the NASCAR race on there too. They even give you a free trial, so you can try it out before you pay. But be careful, these things always try to get your money somehow.
- So, to recap, here’s where you might find the race:
- NBC (usually for the big races)
- Fox (sometimes for regular races)
- FS1 (another Fox channel, shows lots of sports)
- USA Network (they show all kinds of stuff)
- Fubo (that online thing, if you got the internet)
Now, about the time. They always gotta make it complicated with the time zones and all that. But usually, these races are in the afternoon or evening. Like, for the championship, they say it’s gonna be at 3:00 PM ET. That’s Eastern Time, you know, like in New York. But if you’re somewhere else, like out west, it’ll be earlier. You gotta figure that out yourself, I ain’t no mathematician.
And sometimes, they have races later in the day, like around 6:00 PM ET. That’s what they did for that race in Darlington, the Cook Out Southern 500, they called it. Sounded like a tasty race, but I don’t think they were actually cookin’ anything there.
Another thing, if you’re up in Canada, it might be different. They say the race is on TSN up there. So, if you got relatives up in Canada, tell ‘em to check that channel.

And then there’s all this talk about streaming. They say you can stream the race on Peacock, that’s NBC’s thing. Or you can stream it on Fubo, like I said before. And sometimes, you can even watch it on those other streaming things, like the one with the letters E, S, P, and N. Or the one with A, B, and C. Or the one with C, B, and S. It’s all too much, if you ask me. Too many choices, too many buttons to push.
So, the best thing to do is check your TV guide. You know, that thing that tells you what’s on. Or, if you got one of them fancy phones, you can look it up on there. Just search for “NASCAR schedule” and it should tell you what channel it’s on and what time. But don’t believe everything you see on that phone, those things can be tricky too.
But if you really wanna know for sure, just ask your neighbor. Chances are, they know more about this stuff than I do. I’m just an old lady, I don’t keep up with all these fancy TV things. I just like a good race, no matter what channel it’s on. As long as them cars are goin’ fast and makin’ lots of noise, I’m happy.
And one last thing, if you’re listenin’ to the radio, they sometimes have the race on there too. MRN Radio, they call it. So, if you’re drivin’ around or just sittin’ on the porch, you can listen to the race that way. Just imagine, them cars zoomin’ by, right there in your ears. That’s almost as good as watchin’ it on TV, ain’t it?
Anyway, I hope that helps you find the race. It ain’t easy, but with a little bit of luck and a whole lot of patience, you’ll figure it out. And if you don’t, well, there’s always next week. They got races all the time, seems like. Those drivers, they never get tired of goin’ in circles.

So good luck, and enjoy the race! And don’t forget to have some snacks ready. A good race ain’t the same without some chips and dip, or maybe some popcorn. That’s what I always say.
Oh, and before I forget, if you hear about a race in Martinsville, that’s the Xfinity 500. They have a whole weekend schedule for that one, so you’ll have to look that up special if you want to watch all of it. They make things so complicated, I tell ya.
Now I gotta go, my soaps are coming on. Those stories, they’re even crazier than these car races sometimes!
