Okay, so I saw this question floating around: “what car will Chevy race in NASCAR in 2025?” and, like a moth to a flame, I had to dive in. I’m a bit of a NASCAR nerd, so this stuff is right up my alley.
First, I hit up the usual suspects – you know, Google, some racing forums, the NASCAR official site. I figured it’d be a quick answer, something obvious I’d missed. Turns out, it wasn’t quite that simple.

I started digging through articles, and most of them were talking about the current season, the Camaro ZL1, all that good stuff. But nothing concrete about 2025. This made me think, maybe there’s no big change coming, they are keeping things quiet for now, or nothing is decided yet.
My Research Process
- I checked the NASCAR official website. They have all the press releases and announcements, usually.
- I browsed through some racing news sites, the dedicated ones that cover NASCAR in detail.
- I even looked at some fan forums. Sometimes, those guys are in the know before the official news breaks.
After a couple hours of searching, it hit me. I wasn’t going to the most direct source! It’s Chevy’s next-gen car that are racing, and the current car that will likely keep racing.
So, After a bit more searching, I found that it’s still the Camaro ZL1! Based on my research, it looks like that the Chevy Camaro ZL1 will continue on for the 2025 season!
It’s a bit of an anti-climax, I know. I was hoping for some super-secret, next-gen car reveal, but it seems like Chevy’s sticking with what works. Still, it was a fun little research project, and I always enjoy a good NASCAR mystery!
