Okay, so I was digging around today, trying to figure something out. It all started with this question I had: “Did Duke Manyweather play in the NFL?” I mean, the guy’s a legend when it comes to training offensive linemen, but I couldn’t remember ever seeing him play.
First, I hit up my usual spots – you know, just a basic web search. I typed in “Duke Manyweather NFL career,” stuff like that. I was swimming in articles about his training programs, his clients, all the pro-bowlers he’s worked with. But nothing concrete about his playing days.
I scrolled through a bunch of search result pages. I changed up my search terms a few times, getting more specific, adding things like “college football” to the mix. Still, mostly articles about him, not his history as a player.
So, I decided to get a little more focused. I went straight to some of the big sports websites, thinking maybe they’d have a player profile or something. I poked around in their archives, searching for his name. It was a long shot, I figured, since I wasn’t even sure if he’d made it to the pros.
I checked out a couple of forums, too. Sometimes you find random tidbits of information in those places, from people who are really into this kind of stuff. But, it felt like I was just going in circles.
Finally, I landed on some information mentioning his college career.I found out what college he played,Humboldt State University.
- I learned he was an offensive lineman back in college.
So, after all that searching and clicking and reading, I didn’t see anything show up to suggest he played at NFL level. I figured, maybe it will show up later on.
