Alright, listen up, y’all. You wanna know how to get yourself signed up for them boxing fights? It ain’t rocket science, but it ain’t like pickin’ daisies neither. You gotta be tough and you gotta know what you’re doin’.
First off, you gotta get yourself some trainin’. Can’t just waltz in there thinkin’ you’re some kinda champ. Find yourself a good gym, a place with tough folks, you hear? Learn how to throw a punch, how to take a punch. That’s important, real important. Gotta be strong, gotta be fast, gotta be willin’ to sweat. And don’t be cryin’ when you get hit, ain’t nobody got time for that.

Find yourself a coach. A good coach, mind you. Someone who knows their stuff, someone who’s been around the block a few times. They’ll teach you the ropes, teach you how to fight, teach you how to win. Listen to ’em, they know what they’re talkin’ about. Don’t go thinkin’ you know better, ’cause you don’t. Not yet, anyways.
- Listen to your coach
- Train hard
- Eat good
- Sleep good
Now, once you’re ready, and your coach says you’re ready, that’s when the real work begins. You gotta get yourself a license. Yeah, a license. Like drivin’ a car, but for punchin’ folks. You gotta go to some commission, some official folks, and they’ll check you out, make sure you ain’t crazy or nothin’. They’ll give you a piece of paper, that’s your license. Don’t lose it.
Then, you gotta find some fights. That’s where your coach comes in handy again. They got connections, they know people. They’ll talk to promoters, them fellas that put on the fights. They’ll try to get you on a card, that’s what they call it, a fight card. It’s like a show, with lots of fights, and you wanna be on it.
And don’t be thinkin’ you’re gonna get rich right away. Most of them young fellas, they start out fightin’ for peanuts. Maybe a hundred bucks, maybe two. But if you’re good, if you keep winnin’, then you’ll start makin’ some real money. But don’t you be doin’ it for the money, you hear? You gotta love it, you gotta wanna fight. It’s gotta be in your blood.
Now, there’s all these different boxing groups, like the IBF, WBC, WBO, and WBA. My coach calls it “alphabet soup.” Seems like there’s a new one poppin’ up every day. You gotta join one of them, get yourself ranked, show folks you’re the real deal. It ain’t easy, but nothin’ worth doin’ ever is. And don’t forget, you gotta keep trainin’, even when you’re winnin’. Gotta stay sharp, gotta stay hungry. There’s always someone out there tryin’ to take your spot.

And remember, safety first. You get hurt, you ain’t fightin’. So listen to your coach, listen to your body. Don’t be a fool. And don’t be cheatin’, neither. Fight fair, fight hard, and may the best man, or woman, win. You gotta eat right, sleep right, and stay away from the bad stuff. Boxing ain’t for the weak, it’s for the strong.
So, there you have it. That’s how you get yourself signed up for boxing fights. It ain’t easy, but it’s worth it. If you got the heart, if you got the guts, then go for it. Don’t let nobody tell you you can’t do it. Just remember what I told ya, and you’ll be alright. And one more thing, you make sure you watch them big fights, learn from the best, see how they do it. You can watch them on places like Prime Video and DAZN, they got all sorts of fights on there. Keep your eyes peeled, and you might even see me there, cheerin’ you on.
