Alright, so you wanna watch that NC State football game today, huh? It ain’t hard, even this old woman can figure it out. Let me tell ya how.
First thing’s first, ya gotta know when the game is. They don’t play all day, ya know! Sometimes it’s on a Saturday afternoon, sometimes in the evening. Heck, sometimes they even play on them weeknights. You gotta pay attention or you’ll miss it!

Now, once you know when it’s on, you gotta figure out where to watch it. Back in my day, we just had that one ol’ TV, but now these young folks got all sorts of fancy contraptions.
One way to watch is on that regular TV, ya know, the one with the cable. They say it might be on ABC, or maybe even that CW channel. I don’t know half these channels, too many of ’em if ya ask me. But if it’s on one of them, you just gotta find the right channel and sit yer behind down and watch. Someone said somethin’ about Thom Brennaman might be callin’ the game, whoever he is.
But let’s say you don’t got that cable, or maybe you’re out and about. Well, then you gotta use that internet thingy. My grandkids are always fiddlin’ with their phones and tablets, watchin’ all sorts of things. They say you can watch the game on somethin’ called ESPN.
- You can get ESPN on somethin’ called “fuboTV.” They say you can even try it for free, but I don’t trust nothin’ that’s free, there’s always a catch, ya know?
- Then there’s Hulu + Live TV. Sounds fancy, don’t it? I bet it costs a pretty penny.
- And YouTube TV, that’s another one. YouTube? Isn’t that where them youngsters watch silly cat videos?
- And DIRECTV Stream. So many choices, makes my head spin!
They also said somethin’ about ESPN+, and Sling TV. Gosh, so many TVs! It used to be so simple. But I guess that’s how the young folks like it these days.
Now, sometimes the game is on one of them fancy channels and sometimes it ain’t, so ya gotta keep an eye out. Like, that game against Georgia Tech, they said you could watch it on ESPN and all them other places I just told ya about. And then there’s the game against Clemson, that one was on a Saturday too, in September I think it was. They play all sorts of teams, ya know, like Stanford and that Northern Illinois team, and even that UNC team down the road. That one’s a big deal, that’s the one they call the season finale, they play it at that Kenan Memorial Stadium.

And if it’s one of them special games, like against Tennessee, well, that might be on ABC too. Or you might have to use that ESPN+ or Sling TV again. See? It’s always changin’! You gotta be on your toes!
So, to watch the NC State game today, first find out what time it’s on. Then, figure out if it’s on regular TV, like ABC or the CW. If not, then you gotta get one of them internet TV thingies, like fuboTV, Hulu, YouTube TV, or DIRECTV Stream. Or maybe even ESPN+ or Sling TV. Just make sure you got a good internet connection, or it’ll be all choppy and you won’t be able to see nothin’.
And that’s it! It ain’t rocket science, even this old woman can do it. Now go on and enjoy the game, and holler for them Wolfpack! Go on, git!
