Hey everyone, it’s your boy back again with another wild experiment. Today’s topic is something that just popped into my head the other day and I couldn’t shake it: how many tennis balls can actually fit into a limousine? I mean, it’s a weird question, right? But hey, that’s what we do here – turn those crazy thoughts into reality. So, buckle up, because this one’s a doozy.
First things first, I needed a limo. Now, I’m not exactly rolling in dough, so renting a stretch for a day just to stuff it with tennis balls wasn’t really on the table. But I got a buddy, Mike, who drives one for a living. After a bit of convincing (and promising him a shout-out), he agreed to let me borrow it for a few hours on his day off. Teamwork makes the dream work, people!

Next up, the balls. I hit up a local sports store and bought out their entire stock of tennis balls. Let me tell you, the look on the cashier’s face when I rolled up with six carts full of tennis balls was priceless. I probably should’ve explained myself, but where’s the fun in that?
So, there I was, in Mike’s driveway, with a mountain of tennis balls and a very spacious limo. I started by trying to calculate the volume of the limo’s interior. I measured the length, width, and height, trying to account for the seats and the weird curves. It wasn’t perfect, but it gave me a rough estimate. It’s about 500,000 cubic inches, I guess.
Then came the fun part – filling it up. I started tossing balls into the limo, one by one. It was a bit chaotic, and definitely not the most efficient way to pack them, but I wanted to see how many would fit without any special arrangement. The other way, I think, is to figure out the volume of a tennis ball. After doing the math, I would say it’s about 4 cubic inches.
After a while, I realized I was barely making a dent in the pile. This is when it hit me just how big a limo is on the inside. Also, I should do this in a scientific way, right? After the realization, I decided to divide the volume of the limo by the volume of the tennis balls. That’s 500,000 divided by 4, which came out to be about 125,000. I was thinking, “Man, that’s a ton of balls!”
So, yeah, after hours of work, sore arms, and a whole lot of laughs, I can confidently say you can fit about 125,000 tennis balls in a limo. And that’s my final answer.
Anyway, that’s all for today’s experiment. Huge thanks to Mike for lending me his limo, and to you guys for tuning in. Don’t forget to smash that like button and subscribe for more crazy adventures. Until next time, stay curious!
